Terms of use
Effective 20 October 2026 · Nanoforgeflow SAS, Paris
01 What these terms cover
These terms govern this website, the nff desktop app and the design-partner program (the "Services"). Nanoforgeflow SAS, Paris, France, runs them ("we").
The Services are for businesses. By using them, you accept these terms for your company and confirm you may bind it.
02 Access
Access is by request. We may accept, refuse, suspend or end it.
Keep your account details accurate and your credentials private. You are responsible for everything done under your account.
03 The desktop app
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use the app for your internal business purposes.
Open-source components in the app keep their own licences, which prevail for those components.
Do not copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
04 Design partners
If you join the design-partner program, the agreement we sign with you prevails over these terms where they differ.
Partner features are prerelease. They may change, break or be removed.
We may use your feedback to improve nff, with no obligation to you.
05 Your files and the output
You keep all rights in what you send us: prompts, CAD, schematics, firmware and data.
You give us a licence to store and process it only to run the Services for you. We do not use it to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.
You own the CAD, boards, firmware and other files nff generates for you ("Output").
Output is generated by AI and can be wrong. Review and test it before you build, flash or ship anything.
06 Acceptable use
Do not use the Services for anything unlawful. Do not upload malware, or content you have no right to share.
Do not attack, overload or probe the Services, or bypass their limits and security controls.
Do not resell or sublicense the Services, or use them to build a competing product.
07 Safety-critical and regulated systems
The Services and the Output are not certified to any safety or regulatory standard.
In aerospace, automotive, medical, robotics, industrial-control or defense work, you validate, verify and certify all Output yourself. Use the standards that apply, for example ISO 26262, DO-178C, IEC 61508 or IEC 62304.
You are responsible for any harm or regulatory breach caused by Output used in such systems.
Comply with export-control law, including EU Regulation 2021/821 and, where it applies, US EAR and ITAR. Do not put controlled technical data into the Services without a written agreement with us.
08 Our property
The Services, the software behind them, the nff name and the logo belong to us or our licensors. You get no right to them beyond the use described here.
Stock photographs on this site belong to their authors and are used under their own licences, listed on the image credits page.
09 Confidentiality
Each party keeps the other's non-public information confidential and uses it only for the Services.
Your files are your confidential information. Prerelease features and anything we mark confidential are ours.
10 Availability
The Services are prerelease and provided "as is". We may change, suspend or stop any part of them.
To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that they are error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose.
11 Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit, lost data or production downtime.
Our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or €100 if you paid nothing.
These limits do not apply to gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or any liability French law does not allow us to limit.
12 Ending
You can stop using the Services at any time.
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect the Services and other users.
When access ends, we delete your files on request, unless the law requires us to keep them.
The sections on your files, our property, confidentiality, liability and governing law survive the end of your access.
13 Privacy
We process the contact and account details you send us, such as your name and work email, to run the Services and reply to you. We do not sell them.
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to its use. Write to the address below. You can also complain to the CNIL.
Cookies and analytics are described in the cookie policy.
14 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version is posted here with a new effective date.
We tell account holders about material changes before they apply. Using the Services after that means you accept them.
15 Governing law
These terms are governed by French law.
A dispute that cannot be settled amicably goes to the competent courts of Paris, France.
